In 1985 the Company was formed as Heritage Research & Conservation Services. In 1990 a new company incorporating HR&CS was formed as Conservation Management Planners & Associates (CMP & Associates) to establish the complete heritage management consultancy.

We are the only Heritage Management Practice to predominately focus on regional and remote areas of Queensland and the wider inland Australia. Principal consultant, Gail Lipke has had more than 30 years of experience in the identification, assessment and conservation of historic buildings and places and is one of the few heritage consultants specialising in rural heritage and schooled in the conservation of traditional building materials.

In all of our projects CMP & Associates takes a holistic approach to achieving the desired outcomes, incorporating a selection of the most appropriate strategies, establishing working relations with key personnel in relevant government agencies, councils, and other professional disciplines.  We are fully conversant with the responsibilities under State and Federal Heritage Legislation and Conservation Management Practice.

We at CMP & Associates are dedicated to providing our services efficiently, effectively and with the highest standards of professionalism. Our services are focused on discreet, direct management for our clients with no conflicts of interest.  The company provides independent advice on all aspects of the identification, assessment, conservation, development, and adaptive re-use management, utilizing the knowledge and experience gained over 25 years in the cultural heritage industry and through continuing academic study and professional development.

We maintain a large and varied industry contact base ensuring access to other professional consultants which allows us to offer the widest, cost effective service.

Associates include:
